The Transition Initiative is a grass roots, action model for making the change to a low carbon future.
"It all starts off when a small collection of motivated individuals within a community come together with a shared concern: how can our community respond to the challenges, and opportunities, of Peak Oil and Climate Change?"
For more information on Transitions initiatives, climate change, peak oil and re-localisation see: http://www.transitiontowns.org
This wiki is public, which means it is open to everyone to share information. Whether or not you are actively involved in Transition Bradford, you are welcome to add information about your local community to the site, providing it is not canvassing for business.
We are now in the planning stage of setting up a community food growing initiative in Bradford. We have been discussing with the council allotment officer about the possibility of using part of the Cecil Avenue allotment site.
